HAPPY Tax Day! Is there a deduction for pet care expenses in the future?
The Humanity and Pets Partnered Through the Years (HAPPY) Act was introduced in the US House last year. It would provide a deduction up to $3500 for qualified pet care expenses. It was introduced by Congressman Thaddeus McCotter (R-Michigan) and is currently being reviewed in Committee.

American Veterinary Medical Association
The Pet Industry Joint Advisory Council
