For all pet parents!
Spring brings warm weather, flowers, long walks -- and fleas and ticks. The EPA is evaluating the safety of pet pesticides. Adverse reactions have occurred, especially in small dogs. Over the past year, EPA conducted an intensive analysis of pet product incidents involving pesticides. "EPA’s team of veterinarians learned that most incidents were minor, but unfortunately there were some pet deaths and “major incidents” reported," according the the EPA Website. The Agency learned that the most commonly affected organ systems were dermal, gastrointestinal, and nervous. Be sure to follow your veterinarians directions carefully to insure proper and safe dosage. © 2012 Created by Christine Gardner.
